There are way too many subjects, opinions, circumstances, avenues
and other things to consider before anyone in their right mind could
ever give you one sided view on what they think about whatever they
think. But I feel that in itself is the issue. When is it okay to really express how you feel regardless of the “emotions” that could possibly be instilled in other people?
It’s a huge problem that people are unable to separate themselves
from the outside world. Your only real home is in your mind. Only you
can decide for yourself what is in your best interests whether it’s the
music you like, the clothes you wear, or the girl or guy you wanna marry with.
No one is going to make up your mind for you. Where you want to be in
life or where you are going to be is only where you’re going to put
yourself.
We are all only given so much time here, if you take a second to
think about it. Literally, every single breath you take could be your
last — which brings me back to my point. When and how does anyone have
the time to care what another person thinks about anything.
Music reviews, movie reviews — critics are truly the most unimportant
and pretentious people out there. Are you really going to be concerned
with what I think about censorship? Technology? The music industry? Any
opinion I’d have would be completely contrived… it would hold no merit.
All in all, anything anyone ever says or does means nothing. And that’s
the truth.
In this world you can only live each moment for yourself and the
ones you love. Nothing else matters. I don’t want to come off as a
nihilist. I, for one, embrace the idea of beauty, art, love,
friendship. But all the bullshit people “think” they stand for means
absolutely nothing. I implore you to create something, to leave
something behind in this world that means something to you, not to
someone else, not for someone else to decide whether or not what you
did is valuable or meaningful. Just do it to show that you were alive
and that you did something before you ever tasted your last breath.
Live for you. And only you.
